WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. Federal authorities say they've have broken up a Palm Beach County drug trafficking ring that sent more than 175,000 oxycodone tablets from South Florida pain clinics to the Appalachian Mountains.
At least 20 people were indicted on drug selling charges in an operation that reportedly ran from January 2006 to Oct. 14.
Court documents partially unsealed Thursday show that 10 of the people charged are from Palm Beach County and two from Broward.

A married couple experienced different fates in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday when the husband was sentenced to three months for attempting to export ganja.
The accused persons, Marvin Bailey and Laura McLaren Bailey, are of a New York address.
Both were charged with possession of, dealing in, and taking steps to export ganja.

Undercover agents had contacted Siewfeung Saeli, 48, to procure the illicit drugs from the Wa Army.

The cocaine-possession charge is upgraded to a count of possession with an intent to distribute.
A Tulsa police officer was bound over for trial Friday on an upgraded charge of possessing cocaine with an intent to distribute it.
Tulsa County Special Judge Kirsten Pace determined at a preliminary hearing that there was probable cause to proceed with the prosecution of Officer Travis Ludwig, 37, and to upgrade the charge from felony drug possession.

A Longmont police officer was charged with two felonies Friday in a case where he is accused of giving prescription drugs to a confidential informant.
Authorities said they believe Jack Kimmett has a relationship with the informant, but didn't give specifics.
Investigators said he took Vicodin from his wife and gave the pain medication to the female informant, reported the Boulder Daily Camera .

With between 50 and 60 drug court clients seated in the Southside High School auditorium, more than 100 students filled seats across the aisle from them about 9 a.m.
Friday with Fitzhugh on stage, where he would preside over the session.

FBI agents working with Yonkers, Peekskill, Ossining and Westchester County police have arrested 37 alleged drug-ring members in a county-wide drug conspiracy case, officials said.
Twenty-eight of the suspects were arrested this morning and five overnight, officials said.
In all, 43 defendants were charged in the case centering on the crack and powder cocaine trade in the county.

A traffic stop led to multiple drug charges Friday against four North Country men found in possession of cocaine, the Town of Webb Police Department said.
Kenneth Hinckley, 40, of Blue Mountain Lake was southbound on Route 28 near Eagle Bay on Friday when police attempted to stop him for traveling 79 mph in a 55 mph zone and "nearly running a police cruiser off the highway," police said.
Hinckley refused to stop for several miles and during the pursuit a metal box was thrown from the vehicle.

Chandigarh police Saturday claimed to have busted an inter-state gang of drug smugglers after arresting two men and recovering contraband from their possession.
According to police, they laid a trap here in Sector 47 after getting a tip-off.
